How to use the General Matrix Operations Calculator
Enter rectangular numeric matrix rows. Multiplication and addition require B; transpose, inverse and determinant use A only. Inverse and determinant require square A. Supported size is up to 10×10.
The calculation
Worked example
[[1,2],[3,4]] × [[5,6],[7,8]] gives [[19,22],[43,50]].
Assumptions and limits
Floating-point arithmetic and partial pivoting; nearly singular matrices can be sensitive. Singular inverses are rejected. No eigenvalues, symbolic algebra or general equation-system interface.
Common questions
Which inputs should I use?
Multiply rectangular matrices up to 10 rows and 10 columns. Rows are on separate lines with numeric elements separated by commas or spaces.
What does the result exclude?
Does not compute general determinants, eigenvalues or arbitrary matrix inverses. The existing 2×2 inverse tool remains available; malformed row lengths and incompatible dimensions are rejected.
