How to use the Campaign Profit Calculator
Use consistent campaign attribution and include the costs relevant to your comparison. Refunds reduce revenue here; do not subtract them again inside another cost field. The margin row uses revenue after refunds as its denominator.
The calculation
Worked example
$20,000 sales less $1,000 refunds, $8,000 delivery costs, $5,000 ads and $1,000 other costs gives $5,000 modeled profit.
Assumptions and limits
This is a user-supplied allocation model, not an accounting reconciliation. Tax, delayed refunds, recurring customer value and unentered costs are omitted.
Common questions
How is this different from ROAS?
ROAS divides revenue by ad spend. This tool estimates profit after the specific costs entered.
What if net revenue is non-positive?
Profit is still calculated, but a margin on non-positive revenue is shown as undefined.
