How to use the Production OEE Calculator

Use one production period and consistent time units. Availability excludes downtime, performance compares actual throughput with the entered ideal cycle, and quality measures the good-unit share.

The calculation

OEE = (run/planned) × (ideal cycle × total/run) × (good/total)

Worked example

480 planned minutes, 420 run minutes, 0.5 ideal minutes per unit, 700 total and 665 good units give 69.2708% OEE.

Assumptions and limits

Requires positive run time, run time no greater than planned time, good units no greater than total units, and an ideal production time no greater than actual run time. No industry target is prescribed.
