How to use the API Request Cost Calculator
Use the request definition and rate applicable to one billing period. This tool separates a fixed subscription charge from a proportional request charge so both remain visible.
The calculation
Bill = requests / 1,000 × rate + fixed period charge
Worked example
One million requests at $0.10 per 1,000 plus a $20 fixed charge gives $120.
Assumptions and limits
No free quotas, overage tiers, response-size charges, failed-request rules or whole-block rounding are assumed. A provider bill may apply those additional rules.
Common questions
Does the calculator round to billing blocks?
No. Usage is charged proportionally under this model.
Can I enter a free API rate?
Yes. With zero request rate, the result is only the fixed charge.
