How to use the Business Days Calculator
Choose a forward date range and decide whether the start date belongs in the count. The end date is included. Add any holidays you want excluded as YYYY-MM-DD dates, separated by whitespace or commas. Repeated holiday entries count only once, and a holiday falling on a weekend is not deducted twice. This makes the chosen exclusions visible rather than guessing a country calendar.
The calculation
Worked example
Monday October 12 through Friday October 16, 2026 gives four business days when Monday is excluded, or five when it is included. Entering October 14 as a holiday removes one more day.
Assumptions and limits
Only a Monday–Friday workweek is supported, and the range is limited to 36,600 days. No public-holiday database is downloaded. Different countries, employers and legal deadlines may use different weekends, substitute holidays or endpoint rules. This is a calendar-counting aid, not a determination of an official filing or contractual deadline.
Common questions
Are public holidays loaded automatically?
No. Enter the dates applicable to your situation. The result states how many supplied weekday holidays were excluded.
What happens when start and end are the same date?
Including the start counts that date if it is a weekday and not a supplied holiday. Excluding it gives zero days.
