How to use the Magnus Dew Point Estimate Calculator

Estimate dew point using a Magnus water-vapor approximation in the explicitly supported 0–50°C temperature range. Relative humidity must be above zero.

The calculation

γ = ln(RH/100) + 17.625T/(243.04+T); dew point = 243.04γ/(17.625−γ)

Worked example

20°C air at 50% relative humidity gives an approximate dew point of 9.2611°C.

Assumptions and limits

Not a laboratory humidity calibration or frost-point model. Coefficient choices, sensor error and very low humidity affect accuracy; no meteorological data is fetched.
